Patric Favoured Over Radu to Replace Suspended Acerbi in Lazio vs Inter

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is set to start Patric in the next game against Inter to replace the suspended Francesco Acerbi.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 33-year-old Italian defender’s red card in the 2-0 loss to Bologna on the weekend means that he will not be able to face Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri on 16th October, after the international break.

This has forced Sarri to decide between deploying either Patric or Stefan Radu in his place alongside Luiz Felipe, and he has already seemingly made up his mind.

The Lazio coach is set to start Patric against Inter, being a fan of the player’s tactical flexibility and work rate.

Radu, on the other hand, hasn’t even made one appearance yet this campaign under Sarri and is now seemingly below Patric in Sarri’s preferred defenders.

Patric has already made two starts this season, playing the full 90 minutes in the wins against Spezia and Lokomotiv Moscow.
