Lazio’s Lotito Asks for Immediate Reinstatement to FIGC Federal Council

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has asked for immediate reinstatement to the FIGC’s Federal Council.

As reported by Italian news outlet ANSA earlier today, the Biancocelesti president has written a letter of warning to the FIGC president Gabriele Gravina, Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino and to all the components of the FIGC Council.

He has requested an immediate reinstatement to the Federal Council, something that was banned from following the outcome of Lazio’s inconsistent Covid-19 testing trial.

CONI’s Collegio di Garanzia accepted parts of Lotito’s appeal, which has removed the ban imposed upon him.

Lotito attached the opinion of Professor Bruno Sassani to his letter of warning, which states that CONI have decided to cancel the punishment imposed on him by the Federal Court of Appeal. The letter is also valid as a formal notice of default for all damages, meaning that Lotito is ready for a battle.

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is also engaged in a spat with Lega Serie A president Dal Pino, although his dispute is focused on match scheduling.
