Lazio winger Mattia Zaccagni is set to be fit enough for the upcoming game against Simone Inzaghi’s Inter.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 26-year-old Italian suffered a thigh muscle injury in the Biancocelesti’s 2-2 draw against Cagliari last month and has been sidelined since, missing the last three consecutive league matches.

Zaccagni returned to squad training yesterday in Formello and so now Lazio expect him to be fit enough to face Inter on 16th October, after the end of the International Break.

The 26-year-old Zaccagni, who signed for the Biancocelesti from Hellas Verona in the summer transfer window, has made three appearances so far this season under coach Maurizio Sarri, but is yet to make a league start.

The return of Zaccagni would allow Sarri to rotate his two wingers a little more, with both Felipe Anderson and Pedro proving crucial in the early stages of this season.
