The following season, Sarri’s Napoli faced Inter three times, coming out on top at home 2-1 in the first meeting of the campaign.

The second match between the two came in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, with the Nerazzurri securing a 2-0 win, the same scoreline as the final match between Inter and Napoli that season.

That 2-0 loss in April 2016 was the last time that Sarri lost to Inter, meaning that he has remained unbeaten in their last six meetings.

The 2016/17 season saw Napoli win both matches against Inter, 3-0 and 1-0. The following campaign was significantly more muted, with both matches in the 2017/18 season ending 0-0.

Finally, in the 2019/20 season, Sarri’s Juventus beat Antonio Conte’s Inter 2-1 and 2-0, giving hope to Lazio fans that the 62-year-old Italian coach will continue this trend next weekend.
