Lazio’s new sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency exchange Binance will have serious economic advantages for the club.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti announced yesterday a two-year deal with an option for a third with the cryptocurrency exchange, an agreement worth around €30 million.

Official: Binance Agree €30m Deal to Become Lazio’s New Main Shirt Sponsor

The negotiations between Lazio and Binance have been ongoing since June and the work between the two parties will not concern cryptocurrencies or financial instruments, but rather the development of the brand through the usage of ‘fan tokens’ and digital products.

The agreement will also solve Lazio’s issues with the now-infamous liquidity ratio, avoiding the need for further financing in the upcoming January transfer window.

Denis Vavro is set to leave in January and the objective is not to replace him with another Mateo Musacchio, but instead a talented prospect or a player with the potential to grow.

The Binance branding will be present on Lazio’s home shirts in their upcoming match against Inter on Saturday.
