The sporting centre was the headquarters of the Italian football federation and the national team for decades and was created for the 1990 World Cup.

Lotito would invest in La Borghesiana to make it a training centre for the Lazio Women squad, but further survey work needs to be carried out before a final decision can be made.

In recent years, there have also been talks of acquiring the Centro Sportivo Green Club Prato Lauro, which would be turned into a ‘Formello 2’, but this instead would be used for the youth sector.

The Lazio president is working hard to provide adequate support to the Lazio Women squad and has invested heavily in the team and staff so far.
