As announced on Lazio’s Twitter page earlier today, coach Maurizio Sarri has given the 24-year-old Croatian midfielder the nod over Spanish playmaker Luis Alberto, who will start the match on the bench.

Sarri is hoping that the squad bounce back from their painful 3-0 loss against Bologna before the international break, with the return of Simone Inzaghi to the Stadio Olimpico being a motivating factor for the players.

Inter have started their season well under the 45-year-old Italian coach, remaining undefeated in their first seven matches. They have won all but two games so far, dropping points in draws to Atalanta and Sampdoria.
