Lazio youngster Romano Floriani Mussolini has been called up for today’s match against Hellas Verona.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero last night, Floriani Mussolini has received his first-ever call-up for the Biancocelesti first team, with coach Maurizio Sarri wanting more options in defence due to the suspensions to Francesco Acerbi and Luiz Felipe.
The 18-year-old Italian right-back has chosen to wear the shirt number 44 and he will be hoping to feature for at least a few minutes against Hellas Verona this afternoon.
In that time, he has provided one assist and proved himself to be a capable right-back, flourishing more in a defensive role.
He is the son of former politician Alessandra Mussolini and the great-grandson of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.
The 18-year-old has previously stated that he has no interest in politics and does not want his surname to define him.
