Lazio’s defensive issues in the league this season are incredibly clear when looking at the numbers.

As noted by Steven Moore on Twitter last night, the Biancocelesti have conceded 17 goals in their opening nine Serie A games of the season, the fifth highest amount in the league so far.

The Roman club also have not managed to keep a clean sheet so far this season in the league, with only Spezia, Genoa and Cagliari being the other clubs to be in this position.

Lazio have been successfully dribbled past 98 times in their opening nine matches, the most out of any club in the league and the team have successfully managed to recover the ball within five seconds of applying pressure only 25.6% of the time, the third lowest in the division.

Coach Maurizio Sarri’s side have blocked a pass 86 times, the lowest in the league, and made 107 interceptions, the fourth lowest in Serie A.
