Lazio full-back Adam Marusic is close to agreeing to a new contract with the club.
As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi last night, the 29-year-old Montenegrin full-back has become a pivotal part of coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad and with his current deal set to expire next year in 2022, the Biancocelesti want to tie him down to a new deal soon.

Marusic is close to agreeing to a new deal with Lazio, who have offered him a contract worth €1.8 million net per season including add-ons, more than double his current €800,000 salary.

Mateja Kezman, the Montenegrin full-back’s agent, would like slightly higher figures, pushing for a fixed salary of €1.8 million and including add-ons that could raise the total fee to around €2 million net per season.
Both parties are optimistic and an agreement is set to be reached soon enough, with Lazio working hard to tie down their key players to new deals before the January transfer window approaches.
