Strakosha Spoke Privately With Lazio Sporting Director Tare During Training

Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha had a private chat with sporting director Igli Tare yesterday.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 26-year-old Albanian shot-stopper spoke with the Albanian sporting director for around 10 minutes yesterday on the sidelines of the training session in Formello.

Marusic Close to Agreeing New Contract With Lazio, Full Agreement Expected Soon

There is speculation that this discussion could be related Strakosha‘s contract renewal with Lazio, something that both parties are keen for.

The Albanian goalkeeper’s current deal expires next year in 2022 and he is continuing to work as hard as he can in training in order to convince coach Maurizio Sarri to give him a chance in the league, as well as the Europa League.

The 26-year-old Strakosha, who has been with Lazio since the summer of 2012, has made three appearances so far this season, all of which came in the Europa League. In that time, he has kept two clean sheets but made a disastrous mistake in the 1-0 loss to Galatasaray.
