Lazio Identify & Ban Fan Who Racially Abused Fiorentina’s Alfred Duncan

Lazio have identified and banned the fan who racially abused Fiorentina midfielder, Alfred Duncan.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport last night, a Biancocelesti fan shouted racist abuse toward the 28-year-old Ghanian midfielder during a pre-match interview with DAZN.

The incident was immediately noted by the inspectors of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office who immediately took action and Lazio did the same, working with the stadium’s security staff.

Using surveillance cameras, the Roman club identified the fan and have banned him for life, wanting to stamp out this kind of behaviour from the Stadio Olimpico.

Unfortunately, this incident is the latest of many incidents involving Lazio this season, with French side Olympique de Marseille suggesting that monkey chants came from the Curva Nord during their recent Europa League clash.

Lazio’s falconer Juan Bernabe was also caught making the fascist Roman salute and shouting ‘duce’ after the win over Inter earlier this season. He was immediately suspended by the club.
