Lazio President Lotito Already Considering Extending Coach Sarri’s Contract

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is already thinking about extending coach Maurizio Sarri’s contract.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti president has never questioned the work of the 62-year-old Italian coach, despite the few disappointing moments, and has maximum trust in him and his project at the club.

Sarri Highlights Lazio Will Need “To Use the Same Qualities” as Atalanta

Lotito knows that it will take time for Sarri’s impact at Lazio to be truly felt and so is already considering extending the former EmpoliNapoli, Chelsea, and Juventus coach’s contract.

Sarri signed a two-year contract with Lazio, tying him to the club until 2023, and Lotito would like to extend this further, believing in the long-term goals of the project.

Lazio Coach Maurizio Sarri Has Only Ever Lost 2 Serie A Games Against Atalanta

Lazio have been an exciting but inconsistent beast under the 62-year-old Italian coach this season. Impressive matches like the 3-1 win vs Inter or the 3-2 derby victory over Roma have been contrasted against a 4-1 thrashing to Hellas Verona and a 3-0 loss against Bologna.
