Spanish referee Jose Maria Sanchez will officiate Lazio’s upcoming Europa League clash against Olympique Marseille.
As announced by Lazio earlier today, the 38-year-old Spanish referee will lead the officiating team for the upcoming Europa League clash, his first-ever time overseeing a match involving the Biancocelesti.

Sanchez has never officiated a Lazio match before but has overseen one match involving an Italian club in the past; Roma’s Europa League Round of 16 clash against Gent.
In that game, which finished 1-1 in Belgium, he gave two yellow cards to the Giallorossi and five to the Belgian side, who played an especially physical match.
Lazio need to secure the full three points in the match against Marseille if they want a solid chance of reaching the Round of 16.
