Sarri Not Planning to Rest Lazio’s Forwards Before Upcoming International Break

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri will not give a rest to his three main starting forwards ahead of the next international break.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach has no doubts that Ciro Immobile, Pedro and Felipe Anderson are indispensable to the squad and so they must start in the next match against Marseille this week, as well as the match against Salernitana on the weekend.

Sarri is planning to rotate other parts of Lazio’s squad, like the midfielders and forwards, but he believes that the main attacking trident cannot be tinkered with for the time being.

The 62-year-old Italian coach may be able to rest the trio after the upcoming international break, but for now, he needs them to secure vital points in the next two matches.

Anything less than a win against Olympique Marseille this week puts Lazio’s UEFA Europa League campaign at risk, with both sides currently below Galatasaray in the group.
