Lazio are preparing to offer coach Maurizio Sarri a contract extension lasting until 2025 worth €20 million in total.
As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach will sit down with president Claudio Lotito next week to discuss the contract renewal, something that the Roman club have been working towards for some time now.

Sarri’s current deal with Lazio is set to expire in 2023 but Lotito would like to extend that agreement for another two years, tying him to the club until 2025.
It would be a new record for Sarri, who has never stayed with the same club for more than three years.

Sarri’s current contract costs around €11 million gross on the budget – around €6 million net in the two-year period – and with the renewal, the figures would rise past €20 million gross in total.
The 62-year-old Italian coach is keen on the idea but wants to discuss the transfer market first and the planning of new signings, the only thing that could change his mind.
