Former Lazio striker Miroslav Klose predicted the growth of midfielder Danilo Cataldi years ago.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the former German striker told president Claudio Lotito that the 27-year-old Italian midfielder would be worth up to €40 million one day.

Whilst Cataldi is not worth that much yet, the Italian midfielder has exploded this season under coach Maurizio Sarri and his progress has been noted by Italy coach Roberto Mancini, who called up the Lazio player to the Azzurri squad.

Another former Lazio player, Cristian Ledesma, also predicted great things for Cataldi, suggesting that the player would be his heir at the Roman club.

The 27-year-old Cataldi, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2024, has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 615 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and begun shining playing as a regista in front of the four-man defence.
