Lazio & Roma Could Compete for Bodø/Glimt Forward Erik Botheim

Lazio and Roma may look to compete for in-form FK Bodø/Glimt forward Erik Botheim.

As reported by Norwegian broadcaster TV2 (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) yesterday, the two Roman clubs have been impressed with the 21-year-old Norwegian’s performances this campaign, especially his incredible match against the Giallorossi, and have begun following the player.

Botheim scored two goals and provided three assists in the home match against Roma last month, and he followed that up with another goal against the Giallorossi in the 2-2 draw in the Stadio Olimpico last week, attracting Lazio’s attention.

The 21-year-old Norwegian forward’s contract expires with Bodø/Glimt next year in December 2022 and his current market value is around €5 million.

Bodø/Glimt coach Håvard Sakariassen commented on the interest recently, saying:

Better not to comment when talking about transfers, whether the news is true or not.

There would be too many rumours and news to speak about, so we prefer not to do it.

Botheim is a physical and quick forward, who has surprising pace considering that he is 187 cm tall.

Last season, the 21-year-old scored 13 goals and provided two assists in 25 league appearances.
