Lazio fans will be unable to attend the upcoming Europa League match against Lokomotiv Moscow due to Covid-19 restrictions.

As announced in an official statement earlier today, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic is still limiting travel between Italy and Russia and so fans will not be allowed to attend the European clash between the two sides later this month.

Lokomotiv Moscow’s home fans will be present, meaning Lazio will have to remain mentally strong in a tough environment as they look to secure all three points in a crucial Europa League group match.

Lazio currently sit second in Group E after four games, sitting on five points. They are three points behind group leaders Galatasaray and one point ahead of third-place Olympique Marseille.

Anything less than a win against Lokomotiv Moscow puts the Roman club in doubt regarding their qualification to the knockout stages of the competition.

Lazio’s only Europa League win this season came against Lokomotiv Moscow in their home match against the Russian side at the end of September.
