Lazio star Ciro Immobile has withdrawn from the Italy training camp with an injury that will keep him sidelined for 20-30 days.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, medical tests carried out on the 31-year-old Italian striker have shown a large edema (fluid buildup) in the left calf, an injury that is likely to keep him out for between 20 to 30 days.

The Italian striker is paying for his high game load in recent weeks, forcing himself to play in the recent matches despite the discomfort in his left knee.

Immobile has been the clear star of Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio so far this season, scoring 10 goals in 11 Serie A appearances.
