Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari Sidelined for Around Three Weeks Due to Calf Injury

Lazio full-back Manuel Lazzari is set to be out for another three weeks due to a right calf injury.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) yesterday, the 27-year-old Italian right-back was injured in the 2-2 draw against Olympique Marseille last week and was forced to miss the 3-0 win over Salernitana on the weekend.

Tests have now suggested that Lazzari will be sidelined for around three weeks after suffering a low-medium grade right calf injury.

The Italian full-back is hoping to be fit in time for the match against Napoli later this month, and the ongoing international break gives him a chance to focus on his personalised work in Formello.

The 27-year-old Lazzari, who is contracted to Lazio until 2024, has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 703 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and shown decent defensive qualities.
