Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi could not help but watch as his Kosovo side lost 2-0 to Jordan in a friendly earlier this week.
The 27-year-old Kosovan forward played the full 90 minutes of the international friendly but failed to find the back of the net as the Middle Eastern side left the Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri 2-0 winners.
Kosovo currently sit bottom of their 2022 World Cup qualifying group, with only four points. In these qualifiers, Muriqi has scored three goals.
The 27-year-old Kosovan forward, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has not impressed coach Maurizio Sarri this season and is not set to fill in for the injured Ciro Immobile. Instead, Sarri seems set to deploy Spanish winger Pedro as a false nine, starting Mattia Zaccagni on the left.
