Lazio Full-Back Adam Marusic’s Second Covid-19 Test Results Due Today

Tensions are high in the Lazio environment as they await the results of Adam Marusic’s second Covid-19 test.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 29-year-old Montenegrin full-back was forced to withdraw from the national team setup after testing positive for the virus last week, and the results of his second test are due today.

Marusic returned to Belgrade yesterday, where he took the test, and now anxiety is high regarding the results.

If the positive test is confirmed, then he will be forced to quarantine, meaning he will miss Lazio‘s upcoming match against Juventus.

The 29-year-old Montenegrin full-back is already in isolation but there is hope that the initial test was a false positive.

Marusic, who is contracted to Lazio until next year in 2022, has made 11 Serie A appearances so far this season, for a total of 837 minutes. In that time, he has adapted well to coach Maurizio Sarri‘s system.
