Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri had a meeting with president Claudio Lotito in Formello yesterday.

Lazio are offering Sarri a further two years on his current deal, which would see him tied to the club until 2025. Lotito is fully invested in Sarri’s project in Rome and believes that he is the right man to take the Biancocelesti up to the next level.

The priority for the January Transfer Window is signing a new backup striker, with Bodø/Glimt’s Erik Botheim being one of the top targets.

The Lazio squad’s form has improved dramatically since they went into a training retreat following their embarrassing loss to Bologna. The team have picked up seven points in the three league matches since and are hoping to continue this form in the upcoming match against Juventus.
