This means that Bernardeschi will be forced to watch Juventus’ Serie A clash against Lazio on Saturday from the stands, disappointing for a player who has been featuring regularly this season under coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Contracted to Juventus until 2022, Bernardeschi has made 12 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 676 minutes. In that time, he has provided two assists.

Juventus currently sit 8th in the Serie A table after the opening 12 games, winning only two of their last five league outings.

Coach Maurizio Sarri will be hoping to take some revenge on his former team in Saturday’s match.
