The 62-year-old Italian coach’s first meeting against Allegri came in January 2008, when his Hellas Verona side lost to Allegri’s Sassuolo 2-0 in a Serie C clash. Their next meeting came over six years later when Sarri’s Empoli lost to Allegri’s Juventus 2-0 at home.
