Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is hoping to improve upon his poor record against Juventus on Saturday.
As collected by stats outlet Transfermarkt, the 62-year-old Italian coach has faced the Bianconeri 11 times in the past (picking up an average of just one point per match), winning three times, drawing twice, and losing six times.
Sarri‘s first meeting against Juventus came in December 2006, when his Arezzo side drew 2-2 in a Serie B match.
The Lazio coach then had to wait almost a full eight years before facing them again, playing Juventus in November 2014 with Empoli. His side lost both of those matches that season, 2-0 at home and 2-0 away.
Sarri’s first win against Juventus came in the following season when his Napoli side came out 2-1 victors.

This would not become the norm, however, and the 62-year-old Italian coach would lose his next three matches against the Bianconeri, losing 1-0, 2-1, and 3-1.
Sarri’s most recent meeting with the Turin-based side came in April 2018, when the Partenopei won 1-0 away.
The 62-year-old Italian was the Juventus coach in the 2019/20 season and guided the team to their most recent Scudetto.
