Lazio Coach Sarri Has Two Requests for Upcoming January Transfer Window

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is hoping for two reinforcements in the upcoming January Transfer Window.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach wants a left-back and a back up striker in the winter market, with the lack of options in these departments already becoming clear.

It is not clear yet if Lazio will be able to satisfy these demands, with limited funds available and a lot depending on the outgoing transfers. If the Biancocelesti manage to trim down their squad, they will be able to create space for new signings and also generate some cash to reinvest.

Defender Denis Vavro is on the list of departing players and Spanish side Huesca could be the one to sign him. Another outgoing player is Vedat Muriqi; it is only unclear now if he will leave in January on loan or be sold outright next summer.

Lazio are currently interested in River Plate’s Fabrizio Angileri and Bodø/Glimt’s Erik Botheim, but the outgoing market must be resolved first.
