It just simply has not been Lazio’s night. After conceding two goals in quick succession, they had two quality chances to bring themselves back into the match. However, they failed to take them and Napoli punished them with a third goal in the 29th minute.
Following a good build-up play from Luciano Spalletti’s men, the ball ended up on the right flank with Hirving Lozano. After controlling the ball, he used his second touch to pass the ball into Dries Mertens who put a first-time curler over Pepe Reina and into the top left corner of the goal to give Napoli a 3-0 lead.
