Lazio Defender Luiz Felipe Suspended for Upcoming Match vs Udinese

Lazio defender Luiz Felipe is suspended for the upcoming match against Udinese.

As announced by Lega Serie A yesterday, the 24-year-old Brazilian defender picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Sunday’s 4-0 loss to Napoli and so he will not be allowed to take part in Thursday’s match against Udinese.

Danilo Cataldi picked up his fourth yellow card of the season in the loss to Napoli and so he was officially warned. Patric received his second yellow of the season in the game, whilst Mattia Zaccagni received his first.

The 24-year-old Luiz Felipe, who is contracted to Lazio until 2022, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1410 minutes. In that time, he has adapted well to coach Maurizio Sarri’s system and proven a reliable partner to Francesco Acerbi.

Lazio are currently in the process of agreeing to a contract renewal with Luiz Felipe, who is considered a key part of coach Sarri’s squad.
