Lazio Primavera have been knocked out the Coppa Italia after losing 1-0 to Juventus Primavera.
As highlighted by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the Biancocelesti played well in the match against the Bianconeri but a 16th minute goal by Leonardo Cerri was enough to secure the victory for the Turin based side.
Alessandro Calori’s side had some chances thanks to Luka Romero, who hit the post in the first half.
However, Juventus Primavera also came close to doubling their lead on multiple occasions, hitting the woodwork three times and coming up against an in-form Alessio Furlanetto.
Lazio Primavera currently sit third in the Primavera 2 Girone B table after 10 games, with 20 points. They are one point behind league leaders Cesena, who have a game in hand.
Their next game is against 7th place Cosenza on Saturday afternoon, an important match if the Biancocelesti want to stay within touching distance of their counterparts at the top of the table.
