Lazio have identified Barcelona goalkeeper Neto as a possible option to become their new number one.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the discussion surrounding the goalkeeping situation is starting to heat up in the Lazio environment, with Pepe Reina’s recent poor performances and Thomas Strakosha’s expiring contract both causes for concern.

It’s clear that Lazio need to find a solution to the issue over the next two transfer windows and one player they’ve already begun considering is Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga. Sarri knows him well from their time together in London and a loan deal could be possible in January.

Another idea now is Barcelona’s backup goalkeeper Neto. The 32-year-old Brazilian shot stopper, who has spent time with both Fiorentina and Juventus, is now being carefully considered by the Biancocelesti as a strong option.

Last season, Neto made 12 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1110 minutes. In that time, he conceded eight goals and kept six clean sheets.
