Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has only ever lost to Sampdoria once before in his career, a good sign ahead of tomorrow’s match.
As collected by stats provider Transfermarkt, the 62-year-old Italian coach has faced Sampdoria 10 in the past, winning seven times, drawing twice and losing only once. He currently averages 2.30 points per match against the Ligurian side.
Sarri’s first match against Sampdoria came in January 2015, when his Empoli side lost 1-0 away. This is, to date, the only time that the 62-year-old Italian coach has ever lost to the Blucerchiati.
The other match that campaign ended in a 1-1 draw. The following season with Napoli, Sarri drew the home match 2-2 before starting a winning streak that still hasn’t been broken yet.
In January 2016 Sarri’s Napoli beat Sampdoria 4-2 away, starting a seven consecutive win streak against the Ligurian side, which he can add to in tomorrow’s match with Lazio.
