Spanish Referee Del Cerro Grande to Officiate Lazio’s UEL Match vs Galatasaray

Spanish referee Carlos del Cerro Grande will oversee Lazio’s Europa League clash against Galatasaray on Thursday.

As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, a full Spanish refereeing team will officiate the Biancocelesti’s final group stage clash against Galatasaray, who currently sit top of Group E after five games.

Below is the full officiating team for Lazio’s Europa League match against Galatasaray on Thursday:

  • Referee: Carlos del Cerro Grande
  • Assistant referees: Juan Carlos Yuste – Roberto Alonso Fernández
  • Fourth man: Cesar Soto Grado
  • VAR: Alejandro Hernández
  • Assistant VAR: Benoît Millot

The 45-year-old Del Cerro Grande, who has been a top level referee since 2013, has never overseen a Lazio match before, but has overseen 11 games involving Italian clubs and one involving the Italian national team.

The Spanish referee officiated matches involving Atalanta (two wins), Juventus (one draw, one loss), Inter (two wins), Roma (one win, one loss) and Napoli (one win, one draw, one loss).
