Immobile Will Try & Be Fit in Time for Lazio’s Next Match Against Galatasaray

Lazio star Ciro Immobile will try his hardest to be fit in time for the upcoming match against Galatasaray.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian striker spent yesterday with the physiotherapists and he was still feeling pain, a worrying sign for the Biancocelesti.

Immobile suffered a slight strain to the collateral bone in his right knee in Lazio’s 3-1 win over Sampdoria on Sunday and the next 48 hours will be decisive to see if he’ll be able to feature in Thursday’s match against Galatasaray or not.

The match against the Turkish side is key, as the winner will top the Europa League group and progress to the Round of 16. The loser is forced to play play-offs against a third-placed Champions League team in February.

Immobile, despite his inconsistent physical condition at the minute, is desperate not to abandon his teammates during such a crucial stage of the season and so he’s working hard to try and reach match fitness.
