Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is now the club’s highest scoring midfielder.

As collected by stats provider Transfermarkt, the 26-year-old Serbian midfielder scored his 52nd Biancocelesti goal in the 3-1 win over Sampdoria on Sunday, a goal that saw him overtake previous record holder Pavel Nedved, who netted 41 goals during his time in Lazio’s midfield.

The 26-year-old Milinkovic-Savic averages a goal every 399 minutes on the pitch, or 0.19 goals per Lazio appearance. Nedved’s numbers were 333 minutes per goal and 0.25 goals per match.

The Serbian midfielder, who is contracted to Lazio until 2024, has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1420 minutes. In that time, he has scored five goals and provided five assists.

Milinkovic-Savic is one of the biggest stars in the Lazio squad and is seemingly linked with a move away every transfer window. Despite this, he has remained committed to the Biancocelesti, happy in Rome.
