Six Lazio Players Could Be Sold in January Transfer Window: The Situation

Lazio are working on finding new homes for six players ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, sporting director Igli Tare is working hard to deliver coach Maurizio Sarri the two requested reinforcements, a striker and a left back, but he must also make some space in the squad as well.

Kosovan forward Vedat Muriqi is the first of these six players who seems destined to leave next month, with a possible return to Fenerbahce on the cards.

Gonzalo Escalante is wanted by La Liga side Cadiz, whilst Lazio outcast Denis Vavro is wanted by Spanish second tier sides Huesca, Valladolid and Almeria.

The other three players that Lazio still need to find buyers for are Riza Durmisi, Jony and Jordan Lukaku, all of whom have no chance of getting involved in Sarri’s project in Rome.

Tare will have to work quickly if he wants to offload the deadweight before the end of next month.
