Around 11,000 spectators are expected to attend tonight’s Europa League clash between Lazio and Galatasaray.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, a low turnout is expected for this evening’s match in the Stadio Olimpico, although that is to be expected of a mid-week fixture in the cold winter months.
The 11,000 expected fans is still a higher figure than most of the previous midweek matches, with the recent game against Udinese being an example of this low turnout.
Lazio hope that the fans will still make their presence felt in order to charge up the team, who are playing a crucial match against Galatasaray.
The winner of this evening’s match will finish top of Group E, qualifying directly to the Europa League Round of 16, whilst the loser will finish second, forcing them to play in a playoff against a third placed Champions League team in February.
