Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto did not take part in yesterday’s training session, a worrying sign ahead of tomorrow’s game against Sassuolo.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 29-year-old Spanish midfielder’s absence in Formello yesterday is a cause for concern, following his brief appearance against Galatasaray on Thursday.

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri suggested that Luis Alberto’s physical condition wasn’t perfect after the 0-0 draw, which is why he didn’t start the Spaniard in the match.

Luis Alberto’s absence from training yesterday now puts his chances of featuring against Sassuolo tomorrow in doubt, a worrying thought for the Biancocelesti.

This could put Sarri and Lazio in a tough position, with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic also unavailable due to suspension.
