Lazio Coach Sarri To Have Another Meeting With Lotito To Discuss Contract Extension

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri will have another meeting with president Claudio Lotito to discuss his contract extension.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach has already been in talks with the Biancocelesti president this week regarding the two-year contract extension and now a meeting will be set to iron out the details.

It’s possible that the meeting between Sarri, Lotito and Lazio’s sporting director Igli Tare took place late last night, but otherwise it’s expected to take place some time this afternoon.

The 62-year-old Italian coach will not base his decision on the upcoming January transfer window but instead on the future project as a whole. So far he is incredibly satisfied and so an extension does seem likely.

Sarri’s current contract expires with Lazio in 2023 and the two-year extension will tie him to the club until 2025, confirming the long-term project in Rome.
