Adam Marusic has signed a contract renewal with Lazio, tying him to the club until 2026.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 29-year-old Montenegrin full back signed the new deal two months ago, keeping him contracted in Rome until 2026, with an option to extend until 2027.
Step Forward in Contract Renewal Talks Between Lazio & Luiz Felipe
Marusic’s salary will also be increased to reflect his importance to coach Maurizio Sarri, a sign of his progress over the last few years.
The 29-year-old Marusic, who joined Lazio in 2017, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1187 minutes. In that time, he has proven his ability in Sarri’s four-man defence.

Marusic’s previous contract was set to expire next year in 2022, so a new deal needed to be ironed out ahead of the January transfer window.
Lazio are now working on tying other players down to new deals, including Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe.
