This step forward was appreciated by Luiz Felipe and an agreement between him and Lazio may not be too far away now.

The 24-year-old Brazilian defender, who has been with the Biancocelesti since August 2016, is a key part of coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad and the consistent partner to Francesco Acerbi.

Luiz Felipe has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1590 minutes. In that time, he has picked up six yellow cards and helped the side keep five clean sheets.

Lazio will have to work hard to tie the player down to a new contract quick, as he’ll be able to enter into talks with interested clubs in the January transfer window.
