Both Luis Alberto & Milinkovic-Savic Absent for Lazio’s Match vs Sassuolo

Both Luis Alberto and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will miss Lazio’s match against Sassuolo today.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 26-year-old Serbian midfielder is disqualified from the match after his red card against Sampdoria, whilst the 29-year-old Spaniard is absent due to a slight injury.

Lotito: “I Am Not the Owner of Lazio but the Custodian of This Passion”

This is the first time this season that Sarri will not have both Luis Alberto and Milinkovic-Savic available in his Lazio squad, so he’s hoping that his other midfielders can raise their level to make up for the absences.

Lazio’s Probable Starting Lineup vs Sassuolo: Zaccagni Starts Over Felipe Anderson

In five years of Simone Inzaghi’s time in charge, the pair were only missing at the same time on six occasions. In these six games, Lazio picked up one win, one draw and six losses, a bad sign.

Furthermore, the last time that both Luis Alberto and Milinkovic-Savic were out was the 2-0 loss to Sassuolo last May, another bad omen for the 62-year-old Italian coach.
