Lazio president Claudio Lotito paid the squad a visit to the squad today after yesterday’s loss to Sassuolo.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti president visited the training ground in Formello this morning in order to meet with the squad and express his frustration at the 2-1 loss to the Neroverdi yesterday.
Lotito is incredibly angry with the squad’s mental blackouts in games after European commitments and he does not feel that enough effort is being given. The six defeats in the league also do not sit well with him.
The Lazio president is frustrated because he did expect some difficulties following the appointment of Maurizio Sarri and the overhauling of the system, but he did not imagine the results to be so disappointing at this stage.
Lazio’s next match is against relegation candidates Genoa on Friday, a must-win match as the team look to bounce back and please the president.
