Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri was so furious with the team’s loss to Sassuolo that he cancelled training yesterday.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach had a heated face-to-face meeting with his squad yesterday in Formello, clarifying the many things that went wrong in the 2-1 loss to the Neroverdi on Sunday.

Sarri, who first warned an enraged Claudio Lotito of his intention to speak alone to the squad, pointed out the positional mistakes made, namely with the defensive line led by Francesco Acerbi, as well as the excessive distances between the defence, midfield and forward line.
