Lazio have identified Sampdoria winger Mikkel Damsgaard as a possible target for next summer’s transfer window.
As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi yesterday, the Ligurian side are currently in an uncertain position following the arrest of president Massimo Ferrero, who has recently been arrested. The club are currently looking for a buyer and could be forced to sell the 21-year-old Dane over the next two transfer windows.

The 21-year-old Damsgaard is valued at around €25 million and could be a viable target for Lazio in next summer’s transfer window, when coach Maurizio Sarri and president Claudio Lotito will start the rebuilding process, which also includes selling the players no longer needed.
Competition for the Danish winger is fierce, with English, German and other Italian clubs all interested in acquiring him. In recent days even Premier League giants Liverpool have been linked with him.

Lazio would be able to guarantee Damsgaard consistent playing time and the possibility to grow under a tactical mastermind like Sarri, which may prove convincing.
For now nothing serious has taken place, but the 21-year-old Danish midfielder is being seriously considered as an option for next summer.
