Lazio full back Elseid Hysaj will undergo a round of medical tests soon following his injury in the 3-1 win over Genoa.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 27-year-old Albanian left back suffered a right adductor injury in last night’s win over the Rossoblu, coming off in the 63rd minute to make way for Stefan Radu.

Hysaj’s condition will be fully assessed over the coming days and there’s a chance now that he’ll miss Lazio’s match next week against Venezia.

The 27-year-old Hysaj, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1825 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and helped the team adapt to coach Maurizio Sarri’s system.

The Albanian full back has worked with the 62-year-old Italian coach for years, being a part of both his Empoli and Napoli squads.
