Lazio striker Ciro Immobile’s wife Jessica Melena has tested positive for COVID, putting his presence for Wednesday’s match against Venezia in doubt.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian striker is currently in self-isolation and is still recovering from both a fever and a stomach bug.

In order to be available for the match, the 31-year-old Italian striker would have to join his teammates on the day of the match, catching a plane from Rome in the early morning in order to be ready for a 4:30pm local time kick off.
Immobile is unlikely to start against the recently promoted side this week, considering that he hasn’t been training with the squad in recent days.
