Lazio President Lotito: “Sarri’s Renewal Until 2025 Is Done in Every Detail”

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has confirmed that coach Maurizio Sarri has fully agreed his contract extension.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti president told the media that “Sarri’s renewal until 2025 is done in every detail, even economically” following the 3-1 win over Genoa on Friday.

Sarri’s contract extension with Lazio was also confirmed by journalist Alfredo Pedulla on Twitter earlier today, who reported that the signed contract has been returned to the club.

The new deal will see the 62-year-old Italian coach’s salary rise from €3.3 million net per season plus add-ons to €4 million net plus add-ons, with a clause that would allow him to pay a fee in order to free himself should top foreign clubs come knocking.

Sarri has overseen 23 Biancocelesti matches so far since his arrival in the summer and has an average of 1.57 points per match so far. Lotito fully believes in his project and so the extension is confirmation of this belief and trust.
