Lazio Could Sell Lazzari Next Month With Tottenham, Bologna & Torino All Keen

Torino, Bologna and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing Lazio full back Manuel Lazzari.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 28-year-old Italian full back has struggled to adapt to coach Maurizio Sarri’s four-man defence this season and has often found himself benched in favour of Adam Marusic.

Lazzari is a natural wing back and so transitioning to a more defensively minded full back has been difficult for the former SPAL man. He has not started in the last three league matches.

The 28-year-old Italian could leave the club in next month’s transfer window then, with Torino, Bologna and Tottenham all keen on acquiring the player, appreciating as qualities as a wing back.

Lazzari, who is contracted to Lazio until 2024, has made 20 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 999 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal, in the season opener against Empoli.
